Children’s Ministries

First United Methodist Church of Liberty

Children's Ministry

The Children’s Sunday School class meets at 9:30 Sunday mornings for a fun, creative, and interactive time of discipleship. Because the safety of children is important to us, all of our children’s ministry volunteers undergo background checks and Safe Sanctuary training. And because we believe in radical inclusion, we are committed to making the accommodations necessary to welcome all of God’s children as equal members of our church family.

Children's Time

We welcome and encourage children of all ages to participate in Sunday morning worship. While a nursery is available for children up to 5 years old, we love children, including their joyful noise, in our sanctuary. We don’t hold a “Children’s Time” and then kick the kids out of “big church” while the adults worship. Our whole worship service is “children’s time.” Because we understand sitting still during even the most engaging parts of worship can be difficult for some children, we provide “busy bags” with items to keep children’s hands and minds occupied. At Liberty FUMC, children are not just the future of the church, they are a vital part of the church right now.
